In these works, the artist intends to use the sky itself as a material to make art about the sky, considering its variations—clouds, colors, humidity—over time. The works use acrylic and glass mirrors, which have different reflective properties that change in response to humidity, allowing the work to create clear and warped reflections of the sky, as well as the surrounding trees and people, depending on the atmospheric conditions. The multiplicity and reflection of small mirrors is used as a way of bringing the sky to the ground in pieces. The ability to touch and shape these pieces of sky directly visualizes the ever-present contact between earth, sky, and human body. The sky is a part of nature just like the trees around us, and just like we are. We are not separate, we exist in contact, as one ecosystem.
